On the verge of introducing (August, 2011) the next generation, personal
communications environment - ASHADES - Augmented Reality, Variable Density,
All-Time Eyewear
We began our exploration of stereoscopic HMDs in the 1970's working with binocular microscopes and
polarized stereography, making our first prototypes in the late 1970s at
MIT. Inspired in part by the work of Dr. Lawrence Sher of BB&N, the design has evolved -
and today represents the
state-of-performance in Augmented Reality HMD performance - actual and theoretical.
Most notably, our research and innovations have enabled comfortable, long-term HMD use
- for all endeavors from science and industry, to personal communication
and entertainment.

In 1990, we commenced a program to commercialize our Tru-Retinal technologies.
Our early True
Retinal
Scanning Patent was finally filed in 1991, allowed in 1993, and has received
continuedl research funding for further development over the past
decades. While our current deigns built upon these foundations,
the advances have been substantial. Our current IP portfolio
includes a broad range of independent and continuing-in-part inventions.
We look forward to emerging from these
decades of research and development, when the market and technology are finally
in synch, to play a significant role in the public and
commercial forums.
